Where did the summer go?

I needed that motivation today, because it was my first day back in school. My schedule is great, which is excellent. I have friends in all of my classes, and my teachers seem...decent. But still, it seemed like a very long day. Walking down those hallways, it felt like no time at all had passed since May. Where did the summer go? It felt like I never left.

Things are different in school, but some things are the same. The bus is very strange, because half of the seats are occupied by freshmen. SO MANY FRESHMEN. When I was a freshman, we filled up about...six seats. It's very strange.

Something I've noticed that's very different about Sophomore year is the teacher's don't really mess around. They just jump right into things. (I guess I have to be careful what I wish for!) I already have two tests on Monday, a quiz on Friday, and an essay I had to write tonight. And that's just day one. I hope I don't die this year.
